Ibec appoints Gerard Brady as Head of Tax and Fiscal Policy
Gerard Brady has been appointed the new head of Ibec's Tax and Fiscal Policy unit. (Picture attached).
Mr Brady will hold responsibility for shaping and driving Ibec's tax, economic and fiscal policies. Having joined the organisation in 2013, Gerard most recently held the position of Ibec Senior Economist. His role involved regular analysis of economic issues for a business audience and policy engagement on economic and tax policy issues, along with advising companies and sectoral organisations. He is a current member of BusinessEurope’s tax policy committee and its EcoFin committee, as well as being a Board Member on the National Statistics Board. Prior to joining Ibec, Gerard worked as a lecturer in economics in University College Cork. He was the winner of the Foundation for Fiscal Studies Miriam Hederman O'Brien prize for research on fiscal policy in 2013.
